I am working on a slab plan by useing the Floor system mode and dimensioning it accordingly. This works great for me when I lay out plan sets because I do not have to create a sepereate line drawing. However I am struggling with creating a brick ledge on a slab so that I can properly graphically note it (hatch) and dimension to it. As a brick ledge it is below the surface of the slab so making the brick load bearing and snapping to it is not necessarily the correct option. Has anyone else draft this way and what may be done as a solution. Thanks.

I think the 2016 version will show the brick ledge (although it does not look like it will hatch the recess area)
The ability to have a correct structural foundation as part of the model is something I suggested many many years ago and the last few versions have made steps towards that. I have my doubts that 2016 will do it - maybe 2018.

I have actually had reletive success with the floor mode. At least when it comes to slabs. My thinking has changed from forcing Softplan to draw like I want to accepting some items of how the proram works and re-educating my builders. Why make it harder on myself.
