It's been years since I've been on Splash, over 10yrs, but I remember receiving much knowledge based advice, so here I am...

 

I'm currently trying my hand at 3d presentation ONLY project and my 3d creating knowledge is minimal. This project is a Event Barn for the purpose of weddings, concert, etc. and I'm looking to enhance the rendering suchas, adding a 1 directional slope, sun/shade, lighting effects, mayb even a creek bed, and any other advice on enhancing the rendering 

 

Now, I've downloaded sketch-up before but it didn't get me anywhere, possibly lack of knowledge, but I can reinstall if it's recommended? What advice would you everyone provide?

 

Attached are 2 images of my current project, I have some other areas that I'm working on related to, searching for 3d symbols such as...farm equipment, tractors, hay bails, etc. anything agricultural, rustic, and country., but I figured it would be best to post a separate topic, see link below.
